There Is A Party At Our Bar, Everybody Put Your Glasses Up

I planned several posts before I left so that my blog won't be completely dead while I'm gone. I am not a big fan of blogging from my cellphone because I haven't figured out how to get the photos to adopt to the size of the page. If I figure out how to do that than I will off course blog from the phone, but until then you can follow me on instagram @jeanettemarie for updates!

Here are some photos from Roskilde Festival 2011/2012 with Camp Grønn. They are all taken with iPhone, but this year I have my beloved camera with me so I hope to get some great photos. Can't wait to get home and upload them all! No, but seriously, I don't want to leave. In two days we are going to the Roskilde-wedding and I hope I can get close enough to take some beautiful pictures of the bride and groom!

They're Switching it Up

You have probably heard the news already, but I am telling you anyway. Google reader is shutting down on monday 1th of July. So for you who follow me on google reader I recommend you consider to switch over to Bloglovin'. I've used Bloglovin' to follow blogs even before I had a blog myself and am very pleased with it! I don't have that many followers on google reader, but this goes out to the ones I have and off course everyone else who is thinking about following me.



I also have a facebook page where I try to update when I publish new posts on the blog, and there you also have albums with the collection of my different makeup looks, nails and outfits.

The Bar of Camp Grønn - or Parts of it

When we left the boys yesterday the bar looked like this. The others leave one day later than Raven and I so I can't wait to see how the bar looks when they arrive. Here they were concentrating about the electrical stuff such as speakers, light, computer and off course how to power it all. Stuff that I have no clue about!

They have been working hard on this bar for days now because they changed all of the technical stuff inside it since we had some difficulties last year. Poor bar, we were hard on you last year.. But we won't be any nicer this year! It is not only our bar and sound system, it is also our own little stage that we dance on. I will post an instagram picture of the bar when we are all set at the Roskilde Festival. Just check out #campgrønn at instagram, and you'll probably see some people dancing on top of it too!





I am such an instagram-addict! So I am trying not to post insta-posts here too often and instead I'll gather them every once in a while in a big photo post. I will however post a Roskilde post with instagram photos when I come home.
We have a lot of time on our hands on the festival so I am going to check and update my instagram everyday. I might also need some new instagram accounts to look at so:

Vacation Time: Come on, Let's Celebrate!

I just came home from work and now it's vacation time! I am so happy, but so tired. Haha. I managed to wash my makeup brushes before work this morning, now I just have to figure out what makeup I am going to bring. I don't usually wear makeup when I'm there, but this year we are going to a wedding at the Orange Stage. The beautiful Christine Tallulah (Weight of the world) married her soul mate this summer and they are having a second ceremony at the Roskilde Festival during the warm up days. I can't wait!

But most of all I can't wait to get down there and feel the orange feeling grow while waiting in line to get in and grab the best camping spots. I don't run though, the boys do and I watch over the heavier stuff until they have started to set up the camp. This year we are only two girls in our camp and eight boys. Well, I've always been "one of the guys" so it's going to be awesome either way!



The first year I went to the Roskilde Festival I really did not think that it was for me. I even though I wasn't going back, but I did and I'm glad I did. The feeling of not having to be somewhere at a certain time is so liberating. At home all we do is race the clock, but at Roskilde we just watch as the sun glides by on the sky and know that time is ticking while we are having the time of our lives not caring about it. The day is turning into night and vice versa, and we have no worries what so ever. Unless it rains, then we have to make sure the bar is dry, and all of our stuff off course. I really hope we don't get too much rain!



We live in Camp Grønn btw, or Camp Green when you translate it. You can follow our hashtag on instagram #campgrønn during the festival. There are not a lot of pictures there yet, but I promise you they will come! Btw, these pictures are not from the festival, but I will plan some posts with pictures from last year that will come out while I am down there. Now we are heading out to help the guys working on the bar. Not that I do much, but it is interesting to watch the boys work and listen to their ideas!

I made this collage last year before the Roskilde Festival. Most of these pieces are from Topshop and mango, but there are a few pieces from H&M, Nelly and Romwe. I love the tops here and especially the sweaters. I have already packed a few similar sweaters for those cold festival nights. They're so cosy.

You were mine for the summer

My gosh, time is ticking so fast and Roskilde Festival is only 5 days away! I am actually really looking forward to it this year, even though it is supposed to rain every single day. I am crossing my fingers it won't be as bad as they say.. I hate rain. Last year we had such great weather so now I really don't know what to pack. But I am hoping for the best and bought new bikini bottoms during Nattåpent (midnight sale) at Down Town for only 10 NOK! They are so cute and go well with the top I got from my cousin a few weeks ago.

Summer

I must admit I am such a lazy blogger in the summer, especially with the great weather we are having these days. In a country like Norway you really come to appreciate the times with sunny days and warm summer nights. The days are longer, lighter and my mood is brighter. I've worked up a tan, caught up on my reading and simply can not wait for my vacation and the Roskilde Festival. But before that I have decided to enjoy every hour of spare time, every sunny moment and every sip of drinks under the open summer night sky. Summer. It must be my favorite word in the world. And of course my favorite season of the year.

Ciaté Caviar Manicure

I have a caviar manicure on my nails! Hihi, I love it! This set was a birthday gift from a dear friend and colleague. She said she looked at it and thought "I really want that set! So.. I bet Jeanette Marie does too!", so she bought it. Thank you so much, sweetie! I guess most of you have seen manicures like this many times before, but it's so cool right? I'm going to try out some different nail art designs with these later on.

Swatches: Victoria's Secret Blush/Highlighter Duo - Backstage & Oriflame Cosmetics Blush - Fresh Pink

I won these products from Heidi Larsen. The colours are nice, but pretty average. I love the shimmer and colours in the Victoria's Secret Blush/Highlighter, but it is kind of hard to work with. The colours does not transfer easily to the brush and is not as opaque as I'd want. I used it both as a blush and highlighter in this look. The Oriflame blush however is very pigmented. I have not tested it on yet, but I really like the colour.

Swatches: Too Faced Naked Eye Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection

I am in love with this palette that I won from MUA Heidi Larsen! The colours really are soft and sexy. The quality varies a lot though, some of the shades are less compact or less pigmented then the others, like Satin Sheets. This one is such a gorgeous shade, but can be hard to work with and I find it easiest to use a damped brush or a sticky base and dab the shade on.



I find the fact that this palette has both shimmery and matte shades, light and dark shades very positive. It makes it so easy to go from day to night, frankly I don't need more than this palette (yeah, right)!

Like a Stiletto Virgin

A few weeks ago I won some makeup from the gorgeous Heidi Larsen. Today I decided to make a look with some of those products. The products I won was Too Faced Naked Eye Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection (also used here), Victoria's Secrets Beauty Blush/Highlighter Duo - Backstage and Oriflame Beauty - Fresh Pink. I have done swatches of all of these products so they will be up on the blog tomorrow.

In this look I tried to use a minimal number of other products so for the base I only used TBS Natures Minerals Foundation (discontinued) and Lightening Touch 04.



On the eyes I used all the colours of the Too Faced Naked Eye Collection. I used In the Buff and Like a Virgin to fill in and highlight the eyebrows, Stiletto as an eyeliner and the rest of the colours as shadows both over and under the eyes.

I used Victoria's Secrets Backstage both as a blush and as a highlighter and on the lips I am wearing TBS Colourglide Shine #10 (this is going out of production, so you can get it at 30% off at The Body Shop Down Town right now!).

Just some photos from a selfie photo shoot I had in my makeup room. I just got some new stuff for my camera so had to test it out.

Fiesta Filipino in Oslo 2013

There is so much going on these days! I'll have to sort out some pictures to show you later when I have time. Just wish the days had more hours. Actually I wish the nights had more hours so I could have fun and get enough sleep!

The celebration of the 115th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence on Saturday was so colorful and fun. There were Filipino flags and smiles everywhere! There are so many talented Filipinos here in Norway and they kept us entertained with music and dances all evening. I feel blessed to have been able to be a part of this celebration together with my family and some of my best friends. A perfect way to spend my birthday, haha!

I want to thank Bayanihan - den filippinske forening i Grenland for a seat in the bus and wonderful day!
